Introduction

While I produced the articles with the best cards and the best decks from Pools 1, 2 and 3, Marvel Snap brought news that really excited the community: the existence of new Pools (4 and 5) and a store where you can buy cards with tokens that are distributed for free within the game.

I was in doubt about introducing this news in other articles or bringing new ones with the best cards and the best decks of the new Pools and in the end, I chose to bring all this information compiled in this article.

If you are part of those who have just arrived at Pool 3 and you have no idea what I'm talking about, this article will help you a lot! So let's get started because I have a lot to explain.

How Marvel Snap's Pools 4 and 5 work?

Unlike the other Pools, you don't need to complete all the cards in Pool 3 to get the new cards in Pools 4 and 5. When the player reaches level 486 in their collection, in addition to the cards in Pool 3, they can get cards from Pools 4 and 5 opening Collector's Caches. However, it is not so easy to get these cards, as they have rarity.

Pool 4 cards are classified as rare and have a 2.5% chance of appearing in the Collector's Cache, while Pool 5 cards are classified as Ultra Rare and the odds of getting one of them by opening Collector's Caches are 0 .25%.

Token Shop

But what if I really want a specific card from Pool 4 or 5? That's where the Token Shop comes in! The moment players reach level 500 in their collection, they unlock the Token Shop and automatically earn 3,000 Tokens to spend as they wish.

Every 8 hours a card from Pool 3, 4 or 5 appears in the token shop and the player decides whether to acquire the card that appeared. If you don't have enough tokens to purchase the card, there is the option to save the card until you have the necessary amount to buy it. However, during this period, no more new cards will appear in your token shop.

Card prices in the Token Shop

This part is crucial because as I said, at the beginning you will only have access to 3,000 tokens, so it's good to use this value wisely since some cards are quite steep. The card prices are as follows:

- Pool 3 cards cost 1,000 tokens

- Pool 4 cards cost 3000 tokens

- Pool 5 cards cost 6,000 tokens

My advice is for you to take 3 strong cards from Pool 3, since you will have a huge upgrade in your decks if you purchase the right cards.

I already made an article telling what are the best Pool 3 cardslink outside website, so you can base yourself on this list to decide which cards you will acquire, but, in advance, Daredevil, Sera, Aero and Wave are great choices.

Which cards from Pool 4 and 5 are worth purchasing?

Now if you are stubborn and really want to buy a card from Pool 4 or 5, we can see them here:

Pool 4:

Absorbing Man - On Reveal: If the last card you played has an On Reveal ability, this card copies it.

Agent Coulson - On Reveal: Add a random 4-cost and 5-cost card to your hand.

Attuma - If you have another card here at the end of your turn, destroy this.

Helicarrier - When you discard this from your hand, add 3 random cards to your hand.

Luke Cage - Ongoing: Your cards can’t have their Power reduced.

M'Baku - If this is in your deck at the end of the game, it jumps to a random location.

Maria Hill - On Reveal: Add a random 1-Cost card to your hand.

Orka - Ongoing: +5 Power if this is your only card here.

She-Hulk - Costs 1 less for each unspent Energy last turn.

Titania - When ANY card is played at this location, this card switches sides.

Pool 5:

Bast - On Reveal: Set the Power of all cards in your hand to 3.

Black Panther - On Reveal: Double this card’s Power.

Darkhawk - Ongoing: +2 Power for each card in your opponent’s deck.

Galactus - On Reveal: If this is your only card here, destroy all other locations.

Knull - Ongoing: Has the combined Power of all cards destroyed this game.

Sentry - Cannot be played at the right location. On Reveal: Add a -8 Power Void to the right location.

Shuri - On Reveal: Double the Power of the next card you play.

Super-Skrull - Ongoing: Has the Ongoing effects of all enemy cards.

Thanos - At the start of the game, shuffle the six Infinity Stones into your deck.

Valkyrie - On Reveal: Set ALL cards at this location to 3 Power.

From what I've seen in the game, of all these new cards, the ones that have stood out the most are She-Hulk, from Pool 4 and Galactus, from Pool 5. However, there are rumors that Galactus will be nerfed, so as She-Hulk is cheaper than him (only 3,000 tokens) and very versatile, she is the best option right now.

How does the Season Pass work?

Image content of the Website

One subject left out of my other Marvel Snap articles was Season Passes. In summary, these passes are monthly purchases which gives you access to a series of rewards, including a new card.

Pass cards are initially only acquired by purchasing the Season pass, but as soon as the season ends, the card of the month temporarily enters Pool 5 and can appear in the token shop costing 5,000 tokens. After another month, it becomes a permanent part of Pool 3. Therefore, the Silver Surfer, which is the current pass card, will enter Pool 5 in early January and will be available in Pool 3 in February.

For those wondering if it's worth it to buy the pass, my answer is this: if you have some spare money, it's totally worth it.

Conclusion

Phew, it's over! I think this time I've explained everything, and we're even on these subjects aimed at people who are starting to play Marvel Snap.

From now on, I'm going to focus on bringing deck guides, so if you have any suggestions, you can leave them in the comments.
