Atreos, Shroud-Veiled seria um ótimo complemento para um deck focado em sacrificar criaturas ou criar uma presença no tabuleiro por meio de recursão. A capacidade de trazer de volta criaturas que foram removidas do campo de batalha pode proporcionar uma grande vantagem ao longo do tempo. Porém, existem outras cartas como Mikaeus, the Unhallowed que oferecem um efeito semelhante com impacto mais imediato, tornando-as escolhas potencialmente melhores dependendo da estratégia do deck. Atreos pode ver o jogo em decks em busca de um plano de jogo mais lento e complicado, onde o valor incremental é fundamental.
