A deck that focuses on sacrificing creatures or has a theme of -1/-1 counters would benefit from including Shambling Goblin in their strategy. While Shambling Goblin is a decent card for its cost, there are better options available such as Festering Mummy or Festering Goblin, which provide similar effects but with additional benefits.
