About Deepwater Hypnotist
Deepwater Hypnotist, Creature — merfolk wizard, designed by Christopher Moeller first released in May, 2020 in the set Born of the Gods.
This card, Deepwater Hypnotist, would be beneficial in a control or tempo deck in Magic: the Gathering. Its ability to weaken an opponent's creature when it becomes untapped can disrupt their strategies and give you an advantage. However, there are better options available, such as Pestermite or Deceiver Exarch, which have similar effects but offer more versatility and power. Deepwater Hypnotist may not see much play in competitive decks due to its limited impact compared to other cards with similar abilities.
Rules

02/01/14
Inspired abilities trigger no matter how the creature becomes untapped: by the turn-based action at the beginning of the untap step or by a spell or ability.
