About Virulent Sliver
Virulent Sliver, Creature — sliver, designed by Franz Vohwinkel first released in May, 2007 in the set Future Sight and was printed exactly in 6 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Alchemy.
A deck focused on Sliver tribal synergies would benefit from including Virulent Sliver as it enhances the combat capabilities of the entire Sliver creature team by adding a dangerous poison counter mechanic. However, there may be better alternatives depending on the specific strategy of the deck, such as another Sliver card that might offer more utility or ramp potential. Virulent Sliver could be a valuable addition to decks aiming to win through combat damage or alternate win conditions involving poison counters, but its effectiveness in competitive play would depend on the overall synergy and power level of the deck in question.
Rules
03/19/21
A player with ten or more poison counters loses the game as a state-based action, even if no permanents with poisonous are on the battlefield.
07/01/13
Abilities that Slivers grant, as well as power/toughness boosts, are cumulative. However, for some abilities, like flying, having more than one instance of the ability doesn’t provide any additional benefit.
07/01/13
If the creature type of a Sliver changes so it’s no longer a Sliver, it will no longer be affected by its own ability. Its ability will continue to affect other Sliver creatures.
