This card would benefit a deck that focuses on Human creatures and token generation, making it ideal for a Human tribal deck or a strategy centered around sacrificing creatures. While Slayer's Plate can be a strong addition to such a deck, there are potentially better options like Sword of Fire and Ice or Sword of Feast and Famine, which offer additional benefits such as card draw or untapping lands.
