M.O.D.O.K: Analysis and decks with Marvel Snap's new card!

With the release of the movie "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" knocking on the door, Marvel Snap got in the mood for the feature and prepared a thematic season based on the new adventure of Ant-Man and the Wasp.

In addition to the pass bringing exclusive variants of the two characters, there is a new exclusive card for a character who is also in the movie: M.O.D.O.K.

He is a 5/8 that when revealed discards your entire hand! But is this card good or just a meme? I'll give my opinion and bring some decks I found on the internet that look very interesting!

Unlike Zabu and Silver Surfer, which were extremely strong cards that made players build decks focused on both cards and that allowed better use of 3 and 4 cost cards, M.O.D.O.K. enough already attached to an archetype that is not so strong in Snap: Discard. This makes the card very weak compared to the last passes, as M.O.D.O.K. is a niche card, while Zabu and Silver Surfer are versatile.

As we all know, the two most popular discard decks on Snap are those featuring Lockjaw teaming up with Dracula and Hela teaming up with Invisible Woman. In the first, M.O.D.O.K. seems to be an excellent addition, since there are several cards like Swarm in the Dracula and Lockjaw deck, Apocalypse and more recently Wolverine that are not lost if they are discarded. However, the Hela version is heavily reliant on the Invisible Woman and Hela herself, so the deck sounds weird if the player doesn't get all the pieces.

It's still early to say what I'm going to say, but I believe we'll see a few decks with M.O.D.O.K. and the most viable option and likely to become a goal is with Dentinho and Dracula.

For lovers of this deck, M.O.D.O.K. it is an excellent purchase. For most other players? Probably not so much. But I'll present the decks I found (deck creator credits are in each image) and you can draw your own conclusions.

Dracula Lockjaw with M.O.D.O.K.

This is the classic Dracula and Lockjaw deck, but with the addition of M.O.D.O.K., which will discard your entire hand, making your giant Morbius and Apocalypse even stronger.

In the last turn, just play America Chavez, the Swarms and wait for Dracula to do his magic.

M.O.D.O.K, Dracula and Lockjaw with Hela

This version is basically similar to the last one. However, there is a copy of Hela, which serves as a surprise factor. If Hela is in your deck on turn 6, after you've played M.O.D.O.K, you can try to bring Hela out of your deck, for example by playing your Swarms at Lockjaw's location. With Hela being revealed, she brings back your discarded cards, which is pretty strong.

It's Morbin' Time

Bynx always thinks about very different decks, and this one has a very creative concept. The perfect combo is to play Morbius on 2, Mystique on 3, Strong Guy on 4 and M.O.D.O.K on 5.

Finally, just play America Chavez. If the plan doesn't go as expected, there are several cards with great status like Polaris and Maximus and there's still the Green Goblin to hinder the opponent.

Hela M.O.D.O.K.

The classic Invisible Hela gains reinforcement from M.O.D.O.K., which promises to make the deck even stronger, if you have all the pieces in the combo and the opponent doesn't get in your way.

The perfect combo is to play Invisible Woman, M.O.D.O.K and Hela, in that order, in the same location. Okay, just do that and the magic happens.

The bad thing is that there are many ways for this combo to be broken. For example, if you take a Cosmo in that location, it's gone. Aero and Enchantress will also be your worst enemies. But not every opponent will have all these cards, right? Then…

M.O.D.O.K. Strong Guy Budget

Here we have a perfect deck for those in Pools 1 and 2. There are several low-cost cards that serve to disrupt the opponent like Iceman and Scorpion and again there is the Strong Guy / M.O.D.O.K combo and America Chavez to finish games with ease.

If you're in Pool 2 and thinking about purchasing the pass, chances are you'll win plenty of cubes with this deck!
