Your goal is to get as much value as you can from Ongoing effects, and end the game with either Spectrum or Onslaught. We'll explain them in detail further on.

Most of your cards focus on buffing your locations, but this list also includes a few defensive cards, like Cosmo and Armor.

Game Plan

This deck is quite simple to play.

First, start your match with Ant-Man. Then, take a look at your locations and your opponent. If you feel threatened by any effects or abilities, use Armor and protect yourself. If you feel comfortable being more aggressive, play Lizard, preferably in a location your opponent can't fill.

On turn 3, you have multiple options. Mister Fantastic is well-balanced, as he gives 2 power to adjacent locations, so, when you play him in the center, he buffs the other two locations. As for Captain America and The Punisher, they heavily buff a single location, each in their own way.

Finally, Cosmo is your On Reveal counter. By round 3, you'll have a good grasp on which deck your opponent is playing, and on which locations they'll focus. If you do need Cosmo, she will be one of your greatest tools.

Namor is the only character you have that costs 4, and he'll put a lot of pressure on your opponent all on his own.

On turn 5, you'll once again have more than one viable option. You can play Iron Man to double a location's power and practically win that over. As for Klaw, he'll share power more evenly across your board; he gives 4 power to the location you play him, and 8 power to the location to his right.

Finally, you have this list's main characters: Spectrum will buff your entire board, considering all your characters have Ongoing effects.

Another option for your last turn is Onslaught. Unlike Spectrum, he doesn't buff all your Ongoing characters, but literally doubles the Ongoing effects active in the location you play him.

One of your strategies centers around Lizard and Namor. Play them in different locations, and then focus on playing the rest of your characters in the only location left, like the example below:

Notice how Namor and Lizard pressured the opponent into spending too many resources to overcome them, and thus they gave me an edge in the other location.

Tips

The best thing about this deck is that it offers you more than one option most turns, particularly in turn 3. So, you should master which character is best for each situation.

For instance, Captain America is better in locations with many allied characters, but The Punisher is better in locations with many enemy characters.

This tip also applies to your last turn: Spectrum is impactful on all three locations of the game, but Onslaught isn't, despite his immense potential.

Keep in mind that Klaw's effect buffs the location to his right. So, for instance, if you have Ant-Man, Captain America, and Klaw in the same place, Onslaught will buff that location and the location to the right because of Klaw. Keep an eye out for these situations.

Possible Swaps

Another great card for this Ongoing deck is Blue Marvel. With Onslaught, he'll buff all characters by 2 power. If you prefer Blue Marvel, just swap him for Klaw, which costs the same as him, or Captain America, which is another AoE buff.

Weaknesses

Some cards in particular are known for countering this type of deck: Rogue, Leech, and Enchantress. However, only Enchantress is in Pool 1, so, if you have just started playing Marvel Snap, you won't find many Leeches or Rogues.

Also note that all of these cards have On Reveal effects, so playing Cosmo in your main location will be extremely useful in these cases.

Final Words

Spectrum Ongoing is excellent to climb ranks in Pool 1, and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a deck!
