Zodiac Monkey, Creature — monkey, designed by Ai Desheng first released in May, 1999 in the set Portal Three Kingdoms and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.
The Zodiac Monkey, with its Forestwalk ability, would fit well in a green-based aggro or midrange deck that aims to capitalize on quick, efficient creatures while exploiting the opponent's reliance on Forests. Decks that focus on ramping into larger threats or those that utilize a lot of land destruction could benefit from its ability to bypass blockers. However, there are stronger options for similar strategies, such as Llanowar Elves for ramp or Tarmogoyf for a more powerful creature that scales with the graveyard. While Zodiac Monkey can see play in casual formats or themed decks, it may not be competitive enough for higher-level play compared to other more impactful cards.
