About Reverberate
Reverberate, Instant, designed by jD first released in Jul, 2010 in the set Magic 2011 and was printed exactly in 6 different ways. It's a key card in 4 combos.
Reverberate would be a valuable addition to decks that focus on spell copying and control strategies, particularly in red-based decks. While Reverberate is a solid choice for its mana cost, a more versatile option could be Dualcaster Mage, which not only copies spells but also provides a creature on the battlefield. However, Reverberate can still find a place in decks looking for a budget-friendly alternative or additional spell copying effects. Overall, it's a strong card that could see play in the right deck.
Rules
08/15/10
If the copy says that it affects “you,” it affects the controller of the copy, not the controller of the original spell. Similarly, if the copy says that it affects an “opponent,” it affects an opponent of the copy’s controller, not an opponent of the original spell’s controller.
08/15/10
If the spell Reverberate copies has an X whose value was determined as it was cast (like Earthquake does), the copy has the same value of X.
08/15/10
Reverberate can target (and copy) any instant or sorcery spell, not just one with targets. It doesn’t matter who controls it.
08/15/10
The copy will have the same targets as the spell it’s copying unless you choose new ones. You may change any number of the targets, including all of them or none of them. If, for one of the targets, you can’t choose a new legal target, then it remains unchanged (even if the current target is illegal).
