About Wandering Wolf

Wandering Wolf, Creature — wolf, designed by Tomasz Jedruszek first released in May, 2012 in the set Avacyn Restored and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

A deck that focuses on buffing the power of its creatures would benefit from including Wandering Wolf, as it can easily evade blockers with lower power. However, there are better cards like Prowling Serpopard, which not only has a similar effect but also provides additional benefits like uncounterable creature spells. Whether Wandering Wolf should see play would depend on the specific strategy and synergy of the deck, but it may be outshined by more versatile options in most cases.

Rules

05/01/12

The comparison of power is only done when blockers are declared. Increasing the power of a blocking creature (or decreasing the power of Wandering Wolf) after this point won’t cause any creature to stop blocking or become unblocked.
