A control or tempo deck focused on card advantage and disruption would benefit from including Vexing Sphinx in their strategy, utilizing its flying ability to apply pressure while also generating card advantage through its cumulative upkeep and death trigger. However, there are better alternatives in the Magic: the Gathering card pool like Mulldrifter, which provides immediate value and card draw without the upkeep cost, making it a more efficient choice that sees more play in competitive decks.
