About Rootbound Crag
Rootbound Crag, Land, designed by Matt Stewart first released in Jul, 2009 in the set Magic 2010 and was printed exactly in 24 different ways. It see play in 3 formats: Commander, Brawl and Duel Commander.
A deck that focuses on red and green mana sources, such as a Gruul or Jund deck, would benefit from using Rootbound Crag as it provides access to both colors of mana. While Rootbound Crag is a solid dual land option, there are better alternatives like Stomping Ground or Copperline Gorge that come into play untapped more consistently. However, Rootbound Crag can still see play in budget decks or in decks that require additional dual lands to support their mana base.
