While there may be better options for token generation or creature buffs in certain scenarios, Mardu Ascendancy can be a solid inclusion in a deck looking to overwhelm the opponent with a wide board presence and aggressive attacks.

As the Goblin token enters the battlefield, you choose which opponent or opposing planeswalker it’s attacking. It doesn’t have to attack the same opponent or opposing planeswalker that the original creature is attacking.
