Flux, Sorcery, designed by Ted Naifeh first released in May, 1997 in the set Portal and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
This card, Flux, would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on hand disruption or card advantage strategies, especially in a control deck where manipulating the opponent's hand size is crucial. While Flux can provide some card advantage, there are better options like Wheel of Fortune or Timetwister that offer a more impactful effect for similar mana cost. Flux could see play in certain niche decks, but in competitive settings, it may not be as strong as other options available.

The discard is forced even though you choose how many to discard.
