About Flameblade Angel
Flameblade Angel, Creature — angel, designed by Howard Lyon first released in Jun, 2002 in the set Magic Online Promos and was printed exactly in 5 different ways.
A red aggressive deck with a focus on dealing damage quickly would benefit from including Flameblade Angel in its strategy, as it provides a deterrent against opponents' sources of damage while also dealing additional damage to their controller. However, there are potentially better options for this kind of effect, such as cards like Tocatli Honor Guard or Hushbringer, which can shut down certain strategies entirely. Flameblade Angel could see play in specific metagames where its ability is particularly strong, but it may not always be the optimal choice compared to other available options.
Rules
04/08/16
If a source deals damage to you and/or one or more permanents you control at the same time, Flameblade Angel’s last ability will trigger that many times. For example, if a creature with trample deals damage to a blocking creature you control and you, Flameblade Angel’s ability will trigger two times.
