About Barbarian General
Barbarian General, Creature — human barbarian soldier, designed by Kuang Sheng first released in May, 1999 in the set Portal Three Kingdoms.
Barbarian General could be beneficial in a red aggressive deck that focuses on quick, evasive attacks, as its horsemanship ability can make it difficult for opponents to block effectively. However, there are likely better options available for a 4-mana slot in a competitive deck, such as more efficient creatures or cards with additional abilities that provide more value. While Barbarian General may have niche uses in certain casual or themed decks, it may not see widespread play in more competitive Magic: the Gathering formats.

Despite the similarities between horsemanship and flying, horsemanship doesn’t interact with flying or reach.
