Wind Shear, Instant, designed by John Matson first released in Feb, 1997 in the set Visions.
This card, Wind Shear, would be beneficial in a green deck that struggles against flying creatures, providing a cost-effective way to deal with them temporarily. However, there are better options available, such as Hurricane or Whirlwind, which offer more versatile and impactful effects against flying creatures. While Wind Shear may have situational uses, it may not see widespread play due to the existence of more powerful alternatives in the Magic: the Gathering card pool.
