Een controledeck dat zich richt op tempo en boardcontrole zou baat hebben bij het gebruik van Time Wipe in Magic: the Gathering. Hoewel Time Wipe effectief kan zijn bij het resetten van het bord en het omgaan met bedreigingen, zijn er potentieel betere kaarten zoals Supreme Verdict die een soortgelijk effect kunnen hebben zonder dat een wezen weer naar de hand hoeft te worden teruggestuurd. Time Wipe zou echter nog steeds spel kunnen zien in bepaalde decks die het bounce-effect waarderen als onderdeel van hun strategie.
