Putrefax, Schepsel - phyrexiaanse horror, designed by Steven Belledin first released in May, 2020 in the set Scars of Mirrodin. It's a key card in 1 combos.
Een kaartspel dat zich richt op agressieve strategieën en snel wil winnen, zou baat hebben bij het opnemen van Putrefax, vooral in een kaartspel met Infect-thema, waarbij het delen van giffiches essentieel is. Hoewel Putrefax's vertrap-, haast- en infecteervaardigheden het tot een krachtige bedreiging maken, beperkt het nadeel dat het bij de eindstap wordt opgeofferd de effectiviteit ervan op de lange termijn. Er zijn potentieel betere opties zoals Blightsteel Colossus of Skithiryx, de Blight Dragon die consistentere bedreigingen bieden in Infect-decks, maar Putrefax zou nog steeds spel kunnen zien in bepaalde nichestrategieën.
