Een kaartspel dat zich richt op ramping en mana-versnelling zou baat hebben bij het gebruik van Mulch in Magic: the Gathering, omdat het zorgt voor een gestage stroom landkaarten in je hand en tegelijkertijd je kerkhof vult voor potentiële kerkhofsynergieën. Er zijn echter betere kaarten die vergelijkbare effecten bieden, zoals Cultivate of Kodama's Reach, die landdrops garanderen zonder de willekeur van het onthullen van kaarten.
