Een controle- of tempodeck dat zich richt op het trekken van kaarten en mana-efficiëntie zou baat hebben bij het gebruik van Lonely Sandbar. Hoewel er betere opties zijn, zoals Flooded Strand of Polluted Delta, voor het ophalen van specifieke landen, kan Lonely Sandbar in een mum van tijd voor extra kaarttrekking en mana-fixing zorgen. Het is misschien niet in elk kaartspel terug te vinden, maar het kan een solide toevoeging zijn aan de juiste strategie.
