Een deck gericht op mana-ramp en kleurfixatie zou baat hebben bij het gebruik van Jaspera Sentinel, omdat het een consistente bron van mana-versnelling biedt. Er zijn echter betere kaarten beschikbaar voor dit doel, zoals Birds of Paradise of Llanowar Elves, die vergelijkbare effecten bieden met lagere manakosten. Hoewel Jaspera Sentinel spel zou kunnen zien in bepaalde budget- of tribale decks, is dit misschien niet de optimale keuze in meer competitieve of geoptimaliseerde strategieën.
