Consumptieve Goo, Schepsel - slijk, designed by Carl Critchlow first released in May, 2003 in the set Scourge.
Consumptive Goo zou nuttig kunnen zijn in een mono-black controledeck dat zich richt op -1/-1 counters en +1/+1 counters gebruikt voor zijn eigen wezens. Er zijn echter efficiëntere kaarten zoals Black Sun's Zenith of Skinrender die vergelijkbare effecten bieden met een grotere impact. Consumptive Goo ziet misschien niet veel speelruimte in competitieve Magic: the Gathering-decks vanwege de hoge manakosten en de beperkte impact in vergelijking met andere beschikbare opties.

If it targets itself, it gets both -1/-1 and the +1/+1 counter during resolution. Since state-based actions (like being at zero toughness) are not checked until resolution is done, it does not die.
