Eremita Folle, Creature — elf, progettato da Kev Walker rilasciato per la prima volta Feb, 1999 in redazione Urza's Legacy ed è stato stampato esattamente in 4 forme diverse.
Un mazzo incentrato sulla generazione di creature token e sinergie tribali, in particolare con creature Scoiattolo, trarrebbe beneficio dall'inclusione di Deranged Hermit in Magic: the Gathering. Mentre Deranged Hermit fornisce un valore immediato creando quattro token Scoiattolo 1/1 e potenziandone la potenza, potrebbero esserci opzioni migliori come Craterhoof Behemoth per un finisher più impattante nei mazzi token. Tuttavia, Deranged Hermit può comunque essere un'inclusione solida nei mazzi che cercano di sopraffare gli avversari con un branco di creature e sinergie tribali.

The Squirrel tokens get the bonus, so they are effectively 2/2 creatures until the Hermit leaves the battlefield. And they get bigger if multiple Hermits are on the battlefield.
