Ox of Agonas bénéficierait à un deck rouge agressif cherchant à remplir sa main et à maintenir sa présence sur le tableau. Bien que l'inconvénient de la défausse puisse être atténué par la pioche de cartes, la capacité d'évasion offre une valeur supplémentaire en fin de partie. Cependant, pour une option plus compétitive, Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger propose un effet similaire avec une capacité de défausse plus percutante et un coût d'évasion récurrent qui peut perturber la main de l'adversaire. Le Buffle d'Agonas pourrait être utilisé dans des stratégies spécifiques qui donnent la priorité à l'avantage des cartes et aux interactions du cimetière.
