Cette carte, Dans la mêlée, bénéficierait aux decks rouges agressifs cherchant à forcer les créatures de leur adversaire à attaquer et potentiellement ouvrir leurs défenses pour une attaque mortelle. Cependant, il existe de meilleures options comme Force brute ou Stroboscope d'assaut qui offrent des effets plus impactants pour un coût similaire, rendant Dans la mêlée moins susceptible d'être jouée dans les decks compétitifs de Magic: l'assemblée.
