Erebos, le Cœur-sombre serait un excellent ajout à un deck de dévotion noire dans Magic: l'Assemblée, car il offre un piochage de cartes et une capacité de sacrifice qui peut aider à contrôler le plateau. Cependant, il existe d'autres cartes comme le Marchand gris d'Asphodèle qui pourraient avoir un impact plus immédiat sur la partie. Erebos pourrait tout de même être joué dans des decks à la recherche d'un avantage supplémentaire en cartes et de synergies de sacrifice.
