Phyrexian Dreadnought, Artifact creature — phyrexian dreadnought, designed by Pete Venters first released in Oct, 1996 in the set Mirage and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It's a key card in 1 combos.
A deck that focuses on cheating out big creatures quickly, such as Reanimator or Stompy decks, would benefit from using Phyrexian Dreadnought. While it requires some setup to avoid its sacrifice effect, the potential for a 12/12 trampling creature for just 1 mana can be a game-winning threat. However, there are better cards for similar strategies, such as Emrakul, the Aeons Torn or Griselbrand, which provide immediate impact without the drawback of needing additional creatures to sacrifice. Whether Phyrexian Dreadnought sees play would depend on the specific strategy and synergies of the deck, but it can be a powerful inclusion in the right build.

If you are unable to sacrifice 12 power worth of creatures, then you cannot choose that option; in that case, you must sacrifice Phyrexian Dreadnought.

Reverted to its original wording, this now has an enters-the-battlefield triggered ability. During resolution of the triggered ability, you choose one option or the other.
