About Decimate
Decimate, Sorcery, designed by Alex Horley-Orlandelli first released in Oct, 2001 in the set Odyssey and was printed exactly in 17 different ways.
A deck that focuses on controlling the battlefield and disrupting your opponent's resources would benefit from including Decimate. While it can be a versatile removal spell, there are more efficient options available such as Vindicate or Maelstrom Pulse that offer similar effects with fewer restrictions. Decimate could see play in a casual or themed deck, but in competitive settings, there are better alternatives to consider.
Rules
12/01/04
You no longer need four distinct targets for Decimate. If the spell or ability uses the word target in multiple places, the same object or player can be chosen once for each instance of the word “target.” For example, you could choose Tree of Tales for both the artifact and the land. You still need a legal target enchantment and creature as well.
