**Wistfulness** would fit best in a Simic (green-blue) midrange or tempo deck that values flexibility and modal interaction, especially ones that can reliably produce double green or double blue early; it plays well in Elemental- or blink-based shells (like decks using *Ephemerate* or *Displacer Kitten*) where re-triggering its enter-the-battlefield ability adds value, and the evoke cost makes it a flexible early play similar to the Modern Horizons Elementals. However, in most competitive formats it would face strong competition: for artifact/enchantment removal, *Reclamation Sage*, *Foundation Breaker*, or especially *Force of Vigor* are often more efficient; for card filtering, *Mulldrifter* (which also has evoke) and *Abundant Harvest* are cleaner sources of card advantage; and in higher-power formats, cards like *Endurance* or *Uro, Titan of Nature’s Wrath* provide far more impact for similar colors.
