About Slice in Twain
Slice in Twain, Instant, designed by Efrem Palacios first released in May, 2020 in the set Scars of Mirrodin and was printed exactly in 6 different ways.
A deck that focuses on green mana and wants to deal with artifacts and enchantments would benefit from including Slice in Twain. However, there are more efficient options like Naturalize or Reclamation Sage that cost less mana and provide a similar effect. While Slice in Twain could be a decent sideboard option in certain matchups, it may not see consistent play in competitive decks due to its higher mana cost compared to other options.

If the target artifact or enchantment is an illegal target by the time Slice in Twain resolves, the entire spell doesn’t resolve. You won’t draw a card. If, on the other hand, the target is a legal target but isn’t destroyed (most likely because it has indestructible), you’ll draw a card.
