This card, Mannichi, the Fevered Dream, could be beneficial in a deck that focuses on manipulating power and toughness to gain a strategic advantage, such as a deck centered around combat tricks or creature buffs. While it has a unique effect, there are other cards like Doran, the Siege Tower or Assault Formation that offer similar abilities with potentially more impactful effects, making them better choices for decks looking to capitalize on this type of strategy. Effects that switch a creature’s power and toughness apply after all other effects, regardless of when those effects began to apply. For instance, if you target a 1/2 creature then give it +2/+0 later in the turn, it’s a 2/3 creature, not a 4/1 creature.
