This card would be a great addition to a Pirate tribal deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it synergizes well with other Pirate creatures and allows for temporary control of opponent's creatures. While Coercive Recruiter is a strong choice for this theme, a potentially better card could be Captivating Crew, which offers a similar effect but on a repeatable basis. Coercive Recruiter could see play in decks looking to have a temporary control effect and capitalize on Pirate synergy.
