A deck that focuses on controlling the board and stalling the game would benefit from including Change of Heart, as it provides a temporary solution to prevent a key creature from attacking. While it can be useful in certain situations, there are arguably better options available such as Path to Exile or Swords to Plowshares, which offer permanent removal of threats. Change of Heart could see play in more casual or budget decks, but in competitive settings, it may not be the most optimal choice.

Change of Heart will not remove an already attacking creature from combat. It must be cast before attackers are declared or it won’t have any noticeable effect on the game.
