This card would be beneficial in a graveyard-focused deck that aims to fill up its graveyard with various card types quickly to trigger the Delirium ability and transform Autumnal Gloom into Ancient of the Equinox. Decks that have ways to easily mill cards or self-mill effects would work well with this card. While there may be more powerful cards available for similar strategies, Autumnal Gloom could still see play in a deck that focuses on graveyard synergies and wants a resilient threat with trample and hexproof.
