About Auriok Edgewright
Auriok Edgewright, Creature — human soldier, designed by Mike Bierek first released in Oct, 2010 in the set Scars of Mirrodin.
Auriok Edgewright would be a great addition to an artifact-focused deck in Magic: the Gathering, where you can easily activate its Metalcraft ability for double strike. While it's a solid card for such a deck, there are potentially better options like Puresteel Paladin or Mirran Crusader that offer more utility or power. Whether Auriok Edgewright should see play would depend on the specific strategy and synergy of the deck, but it could definitely be a strong contender in the right build.
Rules
01/01/11
If Auriok Edgewright has double strike as the combat damage step begins, there will be a second combat damage step. As that second combat damage step begins, if Auriok Edgewright no longer has double strike (perhaps because an artifact creature you controlled was destroyed), Auriok Edgewright will not assign combat damage a second time.
