A green Elf tribal deck in Magic: the Gathering would benefit from using Wellwisher, as it can gain a significant amount of life with multiple Elves on the battlefield. However, a stronger alternative to Wellwisher would be Essence Warden, which gains you 1 life whenever another creature enters the battlefield, not just Elves. Wellwisher could still see play in more casual Elf-themed decks, but competitive decks may prefer the flexibility and overall efficiency of Essence Warden.
