**Unbury** would fit best in a black-based creature deck that fills its graveyard and leverages tribal synergies—such as Zombies, Vampires, Elves (in Golgari), or Clerics—because the second mode can generate real card advantage if your deck consistently stocks multiple creatures of the same type. It’s especially appealing in self-mill, sacrifice, or attrition strategies that expect creatures to die and want to grind value over time. However, it competes with stronger and more flexible options: **Unearth** (for cheap recursion directly to the battlefield), **Reanimate** (extremely efficient), **Animate Dead**, **Victimize**, and **Agadeem’s Awakening** all provide more impactful recursion, often putting creatures straight onto the battlefield rather than just into your hand, which is a significant tempo upgrade.
