Star Pupil would be a great addition to a white weenie or aggro deck in Magic: The Gathering, as it provides a cheap creature with potential to grow and transfer its counters upon death. While it may not be a staple card in competitive play, it could see use in casual or budget decks. However, there are better cards with similar effects like Luminarch Aspirant or Stonecoil Serpent that may offer more versatility and power in certain strategies.
