About Nyxbloom Ancient
Nyxbloom Ancient, Enchantment creature — elemental, designed by Filip Burburan first released in Jan, 2020 in the set Theros Beyond Death and was printed exactly in 7 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander. It's a key card in 29 combos.
This card, Nyxbloom Ancient, would greatly benefit decks that focus on ramping up their mana production quickly, such as green ramp decks or decks that rely on big mana spells like Genesis Wave or Tooth and Nail. While Nyxbloom Ancient can be a powerful addition to such decks, it may also be vulnerable to removal spells due to its high mana cost. Other cards like Mana Reflection or Zendikar Resurgent could be considered better alternatives in certain situations, but Nyxbloom Ancient could still see play in decks looking to generate massive amounts of mana for game-winning plays.
Rules
01/24/20
Nyxbloom Ancient doesn’t produce any mana itself. Rather, it causes permanents you tap for mana to produce more mana. If the mana ability of that permanent puts any restrictions or riders on the mana it produces, that will apply to all the mana it produces this way.
01/24/20
You’re “tapping a permanent for mana” only if you’re activating a mana ability of that permanent that includes the symbol in its cost. A mana ability produces mana as part of its effect.
