About Gruul Ragebeast
Gruul Ragebeast, Creature — beast, designed by Dave Kendall first released in Feb, 2013 in the set Gatecrash.
A deck focused on aggressive creature strategies, such as a Gruul midrange or stompy deck, would benefit from using Gruul Ragebeast as it provides a consistent way to remove opposing threats while also developing your own board presence. However, there are better options available, such as Questing Beast, which offers a more versatile and immediate impact on the game. Gruul Ragebeast may not see much play in competitive settings due to its high mana cost and slower effect compared to other options available.
Rules
01/24/13
Gruul Ragebeast’s triggered ability isn’t optional. However, if no opponent controls a creature when a creature enters the battlefield under your control, the ability will be removed from the stack.
01/24/13
If the target creature is an illegal target when the ability tries to resolve, it won’t resolve and none of its effects will happen. Neither creature will deal or be dealt damage.
