About Grounded
Grounded, Enchantment — aura, designed by Greg Staples first released in May, 2012 in the set Avacyn Restored.
A deck focused on ground-based creature strategies, such as aggro or midrange decks, would benefit from using Grounded to neutralize opposing flying threats. While Grounded is a solid option for budget decks or specific metagames, cards like Plummet or Clip Wings provide more versatile removal options against flying creatures and are generally more impactful. Grounded may see situational play in certain matchups, but its effectiveness may be limited compared to other removal options.
Rules
05/01/12
The creature can later gain flying from another effect. That will override Grounded’s effect.
