About Grave Betrayal
Grave Betrayal, Enchantment, designed by Lucas Graciano first released in Oct, 2012 in the set Return to Ravnica.
Grave Betrayal would be excellent in a control or midrange deck that focuses on board presence and generating value from creature deaths. It synergizes well with sacrifice effects, removal spells, and mass creature removal, allowing you to consistently steal and boost your opponent's creatures. However, in a competitive setting, the high mana cost of Grave Betrayal makes it slow and vulnerable to counterspells or removal, so it may not be the most efficient choice in a fast-paced environment. Better alternatives include Grave Pact, a lower-cost enchantment that forces opponents to sacrifice creatures, or Rise of the Dark Realms, which can bring all creatures from all graveyards under your control for a game-winning swing.
