About Dual Casting

Dual Casting, Enchantment — aura, designed by Johannes Voss first released in May, 2012 in the set Avacyn Restored and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's a key card in 5 combos.

Dual Casting would be a valuable addition to a red-based spell-slinging deck that focuses on casting multiple instant and sorcery spells. This card can provide additional value by allowing you to copy your spells, potentially doubling their impact on the game. While there may be more powerful options available, such as Primal Amulet, Dual Casting can still be a strong inclusion in the right deck and could see play in decks looking to maximize the efficiency of their spells.

Rules

05/01/12

If the spell being copied has an X whose value was determined as it was cast (like Earthquake does), the copy has the same value of X.

05/01/12

The ability granted by Dual Casting can target (and copy) any instant or sorcery spell you control, not just one with targets.

05/01/12

The copy will have the same targets as the spell it’s copying unless you choose new ones. You may change any number of the targets, including all of them or none of them. If, for one of the targets, you can’t choose a new legal target, then it remains unchanged (even if the current target is illegal).
