Choice of Damnations, Sorcery — arcane, designed by Greg Hildebrandt first released in Jun, 2005 in the set Saviors of Kamigawa. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.
A deck that focuses on controlling the opponent's resources and life total would benefit from using Choice of Damnations in Magic: the Gathering. However, there are better cards available for achieving similar effects more efficiently, such as Exsanguinate or Torment of Hailfire. Choice of Damnations may not see much play due to its high mana cost and the risk of the opponent choosing a low number to minimize its impact.

After the opponent chooses a number, Choice of Damnations’ controller may choose to make that opponent either lose that much life or make that opponent sacrifice permanents.
