About Char-Rumbler

Char-Rumbler, Creature — elemental, designed by Kev Walker first released in May, 2007 in the set Future Sight and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

This card, Char-Rumbler, would be beneficial in a red aggressive deck that focuses on dealing damage quickly. Its double strike ability makes it a potent threat in combat, especially when combined with its ability to pump its power with red mana. However, in competitive Magic: the Gathering formats, there are likely better options available such as Monastery Swiftspear or Goblin Guide, which offer more immediate impact and value for the mana cost. Char-Rumbler may struggle to see play in highly optimized decks, but could still find a home in more casual or budget decks looking for a solid aggressive creature.

Rules

05/01/07

If Char-Rumbler’s power changes between the assignment of first-strike combat damage and the assignment of normal combat damage, Char-Rumbler will deal a different amount of damage in each combat damage step.

05/01/07

Yes, Char-Rumbler’s printed power is -1. While its power is -1 or 0, it simply deals no combat damage.
