About Brass Squire

Brass Squire, Artifact creature — myr, designed by Ryan Pancoast first released in Feb, 2011 in the set Mirrodin Besieged and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

This Brass Squire card would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on Equipment-based strategies, such as a Voltron deck aiming to suit up a single creature with powerful Equipment to deal lethal damage. While Brass Squire offers versatility in moving Equipment around, there are potentially better options like Stoneforge Mystic or Stonehewer Giant that provide additional benefits such as tutoring for Equipment or searching for specific ones, making them more efficient choices in competitive play. However, Brass Squire could still see play in more casual or budget decks looking for a budget-friendly alternative for Equipment manipulation.

Rules

06/01/11

If one of the targets is illegal when the activated ability resolves, nothing will happen and the Equipment won’t move. Notably, if an opponent gains control of either target in response, the Equipment won’t move.
