About Black Vise
Black Vise, Artifact, designed by Richard Thomas first released in May, 2020 in the set Limited Edition Alpha and was printed exactly in 18 different ways.
A deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's hand size, such as a discard-heavy strategy or a deck that aims to make the opponent draw a lot of cards, would benefit from using Black Vise. However, there are more efficient and powerful options available in the current Magic: The Gathering card pool, such as Liliana's Caress or The Rack, which can provide more consistent and impactful damage to the opponent. While Black Vise can be a fun and nostalgic card to include in certain decks, it may not be the most competitive choice in today's metagame.
Rules
10/04/04
You choose one opposing player as it enters the battlefield and it only affects that one player. This choice is not changed even if Black Vise changes controllers. It becomes useless but stays on the battlefield if that player leaves the game.
