About Arctic Treeline
Arctic Treeline, Snow land — forest plains, designed by Alayna Danner first released in Jan, 2021 in the set Kaldheim.
Arctic Treeline would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on ramping up mana quickly, particularly in a green-white deck that requires both colors. While it enters the battlefield tapped, its ability to tap for either green or white mana can help fix mana issues and accelerate the deck's strategy. However, there are better dual lands available in Magic: the Gathering, such as Temple Garden or Sunpetal Grove, which enter untapped under certain conditions, making them more efficient choices for competitive play. Overall, Arctic Treeline could see play in more casual or budget decks where access to dual lands is limited.
Rules
02/05/21
Snow is a supertype, not a card type. It has no rules meaning or function by itself, but spells and abilities may refer to it.
02/05/21
Snow isn’t a type of mana. If an effect says you may spend mana as though it were any type, you can’t pay for using mana that wasn’t produced by a snow source.
02/05/21
The Kaldheim set doesn’t have any cards with mana costs that include , but some previous sets do. If an effect says such a spell costs less to cast, that reduction doesn’t apply to any costs. This is also true for activated abilities that include in their activation costs and effects that reduce those costs.
